A short fairly easy hike to a marvelous waterfall. Most waterfalls are viewed from the bottom...this one offers views from the top. You can't really access the trail to get to the bottom. This trail can be done in about 30 minutes.
Awesome trail! Easy but unpaved walk to the cascading waterfalls. A nice stream and a couple small bridges to walk over. Nice brake from driving to the mountains from Raleigh. Definitely stop here for a 30-40 walk through the woods with some views.
The falls are pretty cool. Hiking trails on the other side! Rest room! And an awesome view fro a couple of the picnic tables!
What a beautiful area! Its a short loop to and from the falls. Pass over the bridge and keep walking to the right. There's a lookout around the bend.
It is a cute little trail that you can walk with your kids or dogs with a beautiful water along part of the path. To leisurely walk the loop of the trail it was 30-45 minutes with my 1.5 year old. She loved it!
